Yvonne R. Hatchett

July 30, 1940 — December 16, 2015

Yvonne R. Hatchett, 75 of Horse Cave, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.

She was a native of Richmond, Va and a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church where she was in the choir and a member of the Women of Wisdom. She retired from the General Motors Corvette plant in Bowling Green. She loved attending basketball games and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. She also loved watching soap operas and visiting with her friends.

She was preceeded in death by her parents Robert Johnson and Erma Mae Johnson Curry, her step dad Richard Comas Curry, and her son Earl Hatchett Jr.

She is survived by her son Velpha Hatchett and his wife Malisha of Horse Cave, two grandchildren Sierra Hatchett and Kalen Hatchett, both of Horse Cave. Two sisters Robnette Allen and her husband Anthony and Chris Tucker both of Richmond, Va. One niece DeLisa Hunter of Richmond, Va., a cousin Gloria Dixon of New York City, Ny., a special cousin Charles (Chuck) Worrell and wife Tami and their daughter Charli of Texas. A great niece, great nephew and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Horse Cave and will continue Tuesday, December 22, at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Horse Cave Guthrie Street Cemetery

Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave is in charge of arrangements.
