Wilma Wright Branstetter

Wilma Branstetter, age 91, of Horse Cave, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Secretary and Assistant Treasurer for 50 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and nana.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Daniel Ray Branstetter; her parents, Hobert and Gwendolyn Wright; four brothers, Boyce, Hubert, Chester, and Vester Wright; two sisters, Ruby Jean Durrett and Viva Wade Lydens; one son-in-law, Rodney Smith.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Branstetter (Pam); her daughter, Alicia Smith (Rodney); four grandchildren, Greg Branstetter (Cindy), Amanda Warren (Jeremy), Jeremy Smith (Ashley), and Dan Smith (Becca); seven great-grandchildren, Chandler and Graham Branstetter, Matthew Branstetter Middleton, Gracie Branstetter Pike, Larkin, Claire, and Sawyer Smith; one brother, Mitchell Wright; two sisters, Sue Davis and Brenda Majcher.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 2-8 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and from 8 AM until time of service at the Church on Saturday. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
