William C. Billy Jeffries

William C. (Billy) Jeffries age 82 of Horse Cave passed away Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Hart County Health Care Center. Billy was born in Indiana but lived most all of his life in Hart County where he retired as a Farmer. He was a Veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Cedar Cliff Baptist Church, a former Floor Boss at the Peoples Tobacco Warehouse for many years. He also was an avid University of Kentucky Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Bryant Jeffries and Lillian Taylor Jeffries, Four brothers, Garland, Charles, Marvin and Garrell Jeffries, Three sisters, Elsie Lane, Glenna Todd and Mary Waters.

Survived by

Billy is survived by one sister, Jewell Steed of Johnson City, New York, and several nieces and nephews including a special niece and caregiver , Martha Houk and her husband Charles of Horse Cave and by several cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 3 until 8 p.m.on Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time.

Funeral Service

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 23, 2013 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be conducted at the Gravesite by Chapter # 20 D.A.V. of Glasgow.
