Wayne Harper

Wayne Harper, 77, of Cave City, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was a Barren County native, a member of Salem Baptist Church, a retired employee of Houchens Industries after 32 years and a retired employee of CEA. He was also a longtime member of the Cave City Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Harper and Frances Kirby Harper; four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Alice Ramsey Harper, of Cave City; three sons, Bruce Harper and wife, Jerri, of Hiseville, Chris Harper and wife, Laura, of Cave City, Anthony Harper and wife, Michelle, of Cave City; eight grandchildren, Patrick Harper, Melanie Harper, Brian Lyle, Amanda Wilt, Mackenzie Taylor, Shauna Stephens, Erica Harper and Ashley Stephens; three great-grandchildren, Lily Lyle, Jase Lyle and Alec Wilt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Thursday, June 16, 2016, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-9PM, Wednesday, and after 9AM, Thursday, until service time at Winn Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Cave City Volunteer Fire Department.
