Wanda Overfelt Slaughter age 76 of Uno, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her home. She was born in Hardin County, a member of Clear Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church, also a member of the church choir, along with being a homemaker and farmer. She loved her family including her neices and nephews. The "Farm" became "Home" to all who knew her.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Burce Overfelt & Fannie Smith Overfelt; her husband, Lavon "Tooter" Slaughter in December of 2002; her son, Max Slaughter in January of 2007;four brothers, Randall David, Ronnie, Robert Dale and Phillip Ray Overfelt; sister, Marjorie Bowen.
Survivors Include 2 daughters, Vonda Slaughter and Larry of Horse Cave; Vickie Pannell and husband Johnny of Horse Cave; 2 sons, Rex Slaughter and Barbara of Horse Cave and Mike Slaughter and wife Margaret of Horse Cave; 10 grandsons, Adam, Brandon, Ricky & Mason Slaughter, Chris and Brian Mires, Preston, J.T. and Nicholas Rock, Jonathan Pannell; 3 granddaughters, Molly Slaughter, Natalie Pannell and Faye Page; several great-grandchildren, one brother, Billy Overfelt and one sister, Betty Overfelt Johnson and a host of relatives, friends and caregivers, Shannon McDaniel , Loretta Sturgeon and Traci Wright.
Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation 12:00 noon - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 and after 9:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.
