Virginia Mae Green "Nanny" Matthews

Virginia Mae Green "Nanny" Matthews, age 81, of Bonnieville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was born on April 13, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Willie Virgil Green and Mildred Agnes Poteet.

She is preceded in death by her life-long companion, Herman R. Matthews; her parents; two daughters, Darlene A. Matthews and Mary A. Matthews; one brother, Willie Walter Green Sr.

She is survived her children, Herman David Matthews (Thelma), of Miamisburg, Ohio, Larry D. Matthews (Rita), of Canmer, Ky, BEverly A. Matthews (David R.), of Greensburg, Ky, Billy D. Matthews (Loretta), Willie Walter Green Jr., and Mark Matthews, all of Bonnieville, Kerry M. Milam (Keith), of Shade, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

To honor Virginias Wishes cremation was chosen. A private service will be held at a later date.
