Sylvia Irwin Mitchell, 94, of Savoyard, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at 9:40 p.m. at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Leo and Elma London Irwin and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ratliff Mitchell; two sisters, Lucille Mitchell and Naomi Miller and a brother, Verna Irwin.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Allens Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a charter member of the Center Order of the Eastern Star where she served many offices and was Worthy Matron for several years. She was a homemaker, farmer and loved her church family. Her favorite book was the Bible.

Sue Trowbridge and husband, Randal, of Cave City
2-Granddaughters: Teresa Ayers and husband, David, of Jackson, Ms., Kim Trowbridge Robinson and husband, David, of Baltimore, Md.
4-Great-Grandchildren: John and Sarah Ayers, Jackson, Ms., David and Whitney Susana Robinson, Baltimore, Md.
1-Sister: Helen Irwin McConnell, Atlanta, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.
