Sheree Lyn Burd

Sheree Lyn Burd age 58 died at her place of residence in Lexington,Ky. on Wednesday October 5, 2011.

She was born on September 2, 1953 in Glasgow,Ky.to the late Essie Mae Branstetter Burd and Francis Mitchell Burd.Sheree graduated from Bryan Station High School in 1971 and went on to pursue futher education--graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1975 with a General Studies degree; she graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Western University of Health Sciences in 1992, and received other certifications in General Radiology and Ultrasonography, She also served in the Army. Sheree avidly pursued the challenge of Entrepreneurship.Sheree enjoyed the medical profession, she was creative, and an avid reader, she loved photography, drawing, writing and designing products. She had a deep love for her dogs. Sophie, Patti Cake and Bella, and adored spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Survived by

She is survived by brothers, Leslie Burd & his wife Gloria of Lexington, and James Burd of Louisville. a sister, Sue Howe of Lexington. nephews, Mitchell Banks,III and Ross Burd , a niece, Rachel Burd and a great-nephew. Dustin Banks. Sheree was preceded in death by her mother Essie Burd and her father, Francis Burd.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Monday until funeral time.

Funeral Service

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday October 10, 2011 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery.
