Shelby Stuart Mobley

August 11, 1930 — January 13, 2014

Mr. Shelby Stuart Mobley age 83 of Hardyville passed away Monday January 13. 2014 at the Hart County Health Care Center. He was a member of the Park Methodist Church and the Bear Wallow Masonic Lodge # 231 F&AM. Shelby was retired from Crucible Steel Corporation in Elizabethtown and was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in  death by his wife, Margie McKinney Mobley on February 20, 2001 and his daughter Valerie Armstrong and a son, Dale Mobley. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Daisy Mobley and a sister, Anne Elam.

He is survived by a son, David Mobley and his wife Sherice of Horse Cave, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Mobley of Hardyville,  Four Grandchildren, Jacob Mobley, Quinn Hart, Jacob and Amanda Spradlin. One Brother, Eddie Mobley and his wife Mary Lou of Elizabethtown, One Sister, Juanita Rickett also of Elizabethtown and a Brother-in-Law, Richard Elam of Elizabethtown, Also several Nieces and Nephews survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home Horse Cave with burial in the Cosby Cemetery . Full Military Honors will be conducted at the gravesite by DAV Chapter # 20 of Glasgow.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 3 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
