Sharon I. Defevers, age 63, of the Monroe Community, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Hart County, a Hart County Deputy Jailer for 13 years, former owner/operator of Sharon's Kitchen, seamtress for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Mildred Robertson Bryant, one brother, D. L. Bryant, one son-in-law, Jamie Layfield.
She is survived by two daughters, Tamara Layfield of Albany, GA and Monica Arnett, Monroe, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Travis & Adrienne Layfield, both of Albany, GA; Miranda Arnett of Glasgow, and Chance Arnett of Greensburg; three great-grandchildren, Rylie Childers, Kayden Arnett and Jadisyn Summers; two brothers, Sherwood Bryant, Tucum Cari, NM; and Bronson Bryant (Joy), Horse Cave; one sister, Judy Crain, Macon, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Whickerville Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home on Monday from 5-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
