Samuel D. Hatcher, Sr., age 73, of Hardyville passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at The Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
He was a native of Barren County, a member of Servant Valley Baptist Church, a retired farmer, and loved his family and hunting ginseng.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewell & Virgie Brooks Hatcher, two daughters, Teresa Hatcher and Shivonnia Bagshaw, and two sisters, Carolyn Blakey and Linda Gail Isiable.
He is survived by two sons, Samuel Dean Hatcher, Jr. and wife Donna, of Cave City and Nicholas Drew Hatcher of Hardyville, his loving companion, Christine Druen Osborne of Hardyville, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Jean Karnes and husband Donald of Cave City and Frances Foley of Louisville, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Servant Valley Cemetery. Visitation at 4-8 p.m. on Monday and from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. until time of service.
