Sam Gossett, age 38 of Cave City passed away at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at his home.He was born in Louisville on March 22, 1973. Sam was a former Caverna High School football player and he coached the youth and middle school leagues and also served as a Caverna Youth League Board Member. He worked as an escort for Country Boy and Crabtree Mobile Homes. He was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Dale Gossett, his Grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife Jo Gossett of Cave City, a daughter, Nissa Gossett of Glasgow, 2 sons, Dylan & Derek Gossett both of Cave City, a grandson, Damarion (Ty) Garnett, his mother, Deborah Sanders & her husband Darrell of Cub Run, a brother, Jeremy Bush & his wife Cheryl of Cave City, a sister, Michelle Carey of Hardyville, a step-brother, Scott Sanders of Cub Run, a step-sister, Angie York of Cub Run, his mother-in-law, Linda Brinegar of Cave City, a sister-in-law & brother-in-law Alicia Estes & her husband Frankie of Cave City, his aunts, Barbara Clymer of Horse Cave, Barbara Lewis of Wayne City, IL, Betty Bowman of Bonnieville, & Janice Butler of Munfordville, his uncles, James (Budgie) Clymer & his wife Peggy of Mt. Vernon, IL, 4 nephews, Kevin Estes, Jonathan Estes, Jeremiah Bush & Jeremy Wayne Bush, 3 nieces, Jessica Estes, Savannah Bush & Kelsey Logsdon. 2 special cousins, Tammy & Tawana Bowman and several cousins and close friends.
Visitation
Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 1 until 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until 9 p.m Sunday and after 9 a.m. until funeral time on Monday.
Funeral Service
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 6, 2012 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery.
