Sally Puckett, age 82, of Horse Cave passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at her home with her family surrounding her. She was the former owner, along with her late husband, Homer, of Puckett's Hilltop Grocery. She also worked at the Hart County Library in Munfordville. She was a faithful member of Cave Spring Baptist for decades where she served as a Sunday School teacher and choir member. She recently moved her membership to Horse Cave Christian Church.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Rosa Lee Green Dickinson; husband, Homer Puckett in May of 1991; sisters Virginia Hensler and Shirley Vocke; brothers, Billy and Murrell Dickinson.
Funeral Services will be held at Winn Funeral Home Chapel on June 25, at 2 pm with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home will be Tuesday, June 24 from 4 to 8 pm.
Survived by two daughters, Laura Denise Hamer, husband Greg, of Social Circle, Georgia, and Leslee Dawn Puckett of Horse Cave; Stepdaughter Sandy Johnson, husband Lawrence, of Horse Cave.
Two granddaughters, Ansley and Alyssa Hamer of Social Circle, Georgia
One sister, Georgia Puckett of Horse Cave
Also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
