Ruby Lee Philpott, age 91, of Hardyville, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a Hart County native, homemaker, farmer, an avid wrestling fan and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family with a passion, was a wonderful cook and loved her pet llama, chickens and ducks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Morgan Logsdon and Sarah Jane Hayes Logsdon; her husband, Carl Philpott; a sister, Frances Spencer; four brothers, Paul, George, Clifford and James E. Logsdon; and a son, John H. Crain.
Survivors include two daughters, Jayne Burris and husband, Gordon, of Hiseville, and Mary Louise Wagoner and husband, Marshall, of Glasgow; five grandchildren, a special granddaughter, Rhonda Harper, of Hardyville, Tommy Harper and wife, Stephanie, of Cave City, Michael Ward, of Indiana, Michelle Self, of Leawood, Ks. and Jonathan Crain, of Glasgow; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Corine Logsdon; John's fiance', Patricia Bryant; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2PM, with burial to follow in Hiseville Cemetery.
Visitation at Winn Funeral Home will be from 12PM (Noon) - 8PM Monday, and after 9AM until service time on Tuesday.
