Roy Marrs Petett age 70, of Horse Cave passed away December 26, 2012 at Caverna Memorial Hospital. He was born in Monroe County, near Tompkinsville,Ky. He has lived in Horse Cave fo the past 38 years. He was a Western Ky State College graduate. He coached nearly all sports, but coached mainly football in Barren, Cumberland, Butler, Daviess, and Hart Counties. He was the first inductee into the Hart County Football Hall of Fame. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening, and his family. He was a member of the Horse Cave Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Maggie Geralds Petett, his sisters, Dane McKinney, and Margie Smith, and his brothers, Cecil, James and Joe Petett.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Judy Watson Petett of Horse Cave, his son and his wife, Bryan and Angie Petett , of Lenoir City,TN , his daughters, Dane Wilson & her husband Joey of Horse Cave, Jayne Ferry and her husband Kevin of Bowling Green and Jill Petett of Bowling Green. His Sisters and Brothers, Mildred Owen of Bowling Green, Frank Petett of Tompkinsville, Lucy Thompson of Louisville, J.E. Petett and his wife Martha , grandchildren, Lexee Wilson, Bailey Petett, Hunter Ferry, Peyton Ferry, Kylee Wilson, Chase Showmaker and Caden Norman.
Visitation
Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 1 until 9 p.m. on Saturday and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Funeral Service
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday December 30, 2012 at the Horse Cave Church of Christ under direction of Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave. Burial will follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
