Roy Froedge, age 73, of Horse Cave, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was a native of Hart County, member of Immanuel Ministries, and a 19 year employee of SKF-Tyson Industries. He also was in management at Ken-Dec, Inc. He, along with his deceased wife, Pat, owned Sonshine Christian School in Horse Cave. He was an ordained minister and in recent years worked with his brother, Dean, in Froedge Excavation. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Carol Froedge, on August 3, 2007; his parents, Marvin Froedge and Mable Carter Froedge; a brother, Danny Froedge; a sister, Joyce Froedge Church.
He is survived by daughter, Tina Froedge Orsini & husband, Nick, of Glasgow; son, Mike Froedge and wife, Tricia, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Andrew Froedge, Brittany Reno, Ethan Bowers, Hannah Bowers, Julia Froedge and Patrick Froedge; great-grandson, Sage Reno; two brothers, Royce Froedge and wife, Donna, Cave City; Dean Froedge and wife, Diane, Horse Cave; his mother-in-law, Fay Houk of Horse Cave, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2017, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Winn Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
