Roger Dale Walthall

May 15, 1952 — September 20, 2022

Roger Dale Walthall, son of the late Roger, and Virgie Walthall, brother of the late Terry Lane Walthall, was born on May 5th, 1952 in Glasgow, Kentucky. He attended the public school of Hiseville and was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. Dale was an Art teacher at Caverna Middle School and High School for 28 years. Dale’s pride was in teaching and he shared his passion of art with many students over the years. His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. Dale was a passionate farmer and concentrated on his family farm to cultivate and occupy his time.

Dale peacefully departed this life in his home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Sherri Sue Walthall, son, Brandon Dale Walthall, niece, Mercedes Lyn Whiles, and, grandson, Dylan Ray Walthall. Dale battled with Parkinson's Disease in recent years and showed his courage in facing those challenges with a smile. 

Funeral services will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11 AM with burial to follow in the Pearl Webb Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, September 23, 2022 and from 9 AM until time of service on Saturday.
