Roger W. Sturgeon

May 25, 1938 — December 23, 2015

Roger W. Sturgeon, 77 of Horse Cave, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Caverna Memorial Hospital ER. a native of Barren Co., he was a retired farmer, a member of Lighthouse Church, and a longtime CB'er.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Garland and Edna Riley Sturgeon.

He is survived by one son Garland Sturgeon and his wife, Paula, of Rowletts, one daughter Pam Wilhoite and her husband, Lloyd, of Cave City, two granddaughters Brandi Minor and Courtney Sturgeon, two great grandchildren Allie and Audrie Poynter; two brothers, George Sturgeon and his wife, Carolyn, of Horse Cave, Phil Sturgeon and his wife, Sue, of Mt Zion, Illinois; one sister Barbara Basil, of Decatur Illinois, several nieces and nephews and his companion, Doris Gilpin.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home and continue Sunday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
