Roger Lee Richardson

Roger Lee Richardson, age 81 of Hardyville passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at his home. He was a native of Hart county and a member of Hardyville Union Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a 54 year active member and former assistant chief with the Hardyville Volunteer Fire Department. He was the owner/ operator of Richardson’s Body Shop in Hardyville. Roger taught a new generation how to make pop corn balls.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Richardson; his parents, Stanford Richardson and Dorothy Obanion Richardson; several uncles and one aunt.

He is survived by his son, Lee Richardson of Chattanooga, TN; his twin grandsons, Joshua Richardson of Chattanooga and Justin Richardson of Ft. Campbell, Ky; a close cousin, Claudine Rock of South Carolina; the congregation of Hardyville Union Church; and many friends who shared his front porch.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home and again on Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

Roger was distantly related to me thru his mother. Every time I attended a family reunion on either side of my family, I would always go visit with Roger and Linda. Missing both of them.
