Ralph B. Bennett, age 83, of the Monroe community, passed away, Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his home. He was a native of Adair County. He was a carpenter, farmer, and a police officer at one time. He loved golfing and playing horseshoes, and corn hole. He was very social and loved people.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Bennett; his parents, Dallas Ray and Catherine Wheeler Bennett; three brothers, Walter Bennett, Ed Bennett, and Calvin Bennett; one sister, Bernice Willis.
He is survived by one son, Craig Bennett (Brenna); five daughters, Vicki Thompson (Robert), Becky Hensley (Billy), Shannon Robertson (Brandon), Debbie Riordan (Ronald), and Sherry Gossett (Randy); 13 grandchildren, Anissa Johnson (Jordan), Josh, Matthew, and Katie Gossett, Tabitha Logsdon (Cord), Ryan Bennett, Adam Thompson (Telia), Matthew Thompson, Audrey Hensley, Lyndsey Hensley, Caleb Robertson, Kaitlyn Robertson, and Kinsey Robertson; three great-grandchildren, Ashlin Thompson, Zaydon and Jace Logsdon; three brothers, Sherman, Donnie, and David Bennett; four sisters, Rachael Hirsch, Leola Maupin, Faye Clark, and Barbara Hudson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Whickerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24 at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
