Rachel Green

Rachel Grissom Green, age 73, of Horse Cave, died peacefully at the Hart County Health Care Center on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, after a short battle with cancer. 

She was a native of Hart County, a retired waitress having worked in numerous area restaurants, and a member of Cave City Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chestine and Laura Harper Grissom and a brother, Glen Allen Grissom.

She is survived by one son, David Lafferty and wife, Billie Jo, of Munfordville, and one daughter, Kaye Lafferty, of Louisville, one grandson, Masion Lafferty, one sister, Nancy Grissom Haycraft, of Munfordville, one brother, Paul Grissom and wife, Linda, of Horse Cave, one nephew, John Grissom and wife, Renee, of Horse Cave, great-nephews, Jonathan & Logan Grissom, and many loyal and   caring friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Winn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
