Owen Turner

Claud Owen Turner , age 63 years , of Horse Cave, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Wednesday January 15, 2014 at his residence. He was the owner and operator of Owen's Appraisal Service of Horse Cave for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents,, Claud Amos and Annie Ruth Lohden Turner, a sister, Marilyn Dennison Smith, a brother, Billy Dennison and his special companion , Eica.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Turner, a daughter, Angie Morris and her husband Mark Morris of Nolensville, Tennessee, a son, Brad Turner and his wife Beth of Hodgenville, a sister, Helen Trent of Hodgenville, three brothers, , Bobby Turner and his wife Maxine of Louisville, Jewell Dennison and his wife Carrie Mae of Horse Cave . and Don Turner and his wife Joyce of Jeffersonville, Indiana. his sister-in-law, Delores Matthews and her husband Daryl of Campbellsville , and three grandsons, Biven Lohden Turner, Baines Robert Turner,and Matthew David Morris.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm CST Sunday January 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home Horse Cave with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. CST  on Saturday and after 10 a.m. CST until funeral time on Sunday.

May peace and comfort find you at this difficult time. Debbie we are thankful to have known Owen and for our friendship over the years. I recall several conversations which showed his love for and how proud he was of his family. He shared pictures of the grandchildren, accomplishments of Brad and Angie and trips you have taken. . .   Owen was a very respectable man, my co-worker and our friend. He will be missed. . . .

Owen was a huge help to me over the years in my real estate practice, especially when I started and need good quidance.  He was always wise, thoughtful, honest and considerate in his business dealings..
