Mary Houtchins

Mary Houtchins, age 75, of Hardyville, passed away in the comfort of her farm home on Saturday, February 20, 2016. She was a native of Jamestown , Tennessee , a member of  Shady Grove Baptist Church, and a homemaker. Mary loved to crochet and was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney Winningham and Lillian Loraine Horton Winningham, her husband, Tommy Houtchins on March 21, 2000, a son, Jason Houtchins on June 20, 2002 and by one sister and  seven brothers.

She is survived by four sons, Steve Houtchins of Illinois, David Houtchins of Louisville, Mike Houtchins of Indianapolis and Cliff Houtchins of Illinois.

five daughters, Rosie Brewer of Louisivlle , Betty Houtchins of Hardyville, Hazel Elizabeth Houtchins of Hardyville, Brenda Kelly of Illinois and Savanna Houtchins of Illinois.

thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

two brothers, David Winningham and Jim Winningham  both of Tennessee, one sister, Joyce Ann Winningham also of Tennessee.

sister-in-law, Leona Edwards, of Hardyville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the family mausoleum at Whickerville Cemetery.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday, and from 8 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Expressions of Sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Shady Grove Baptist Church.
