Mary Elizabeth Jeffries Waters

Mary Elizabeth Jeffries Waters age 87 of Cave City passed away at 1:35 a.m. Sunday November 18, 2012 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born in Indiana, a member of the Cave City Church of Christ and retired after 37 years from the Mammoth Cave Garment Company. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Bryant Jeffries & Lillian Taylor Jeffries, her husband Marvin T. Waters, 4 brothers, Garland, Charles, Marvin & Garrell Jeffries, 2 sisters, Elsie Lane & Glenna Todd & by 1 grandson, David Wayne Houk.

Survived by

She is survived by 2 daughters, Martha Estes Houk (Charles) of Horse Cave & Margaret Estes Thornsbury (Joseph) of Virginia Beach VA.

3 grandchildren, Sarah Highbaugh, Judith Jones (Mark), Jeffrie Thornsbury (Christine). 6 great-grandchildren, Thaddeus Highbaugh, Lindsay Highbaugh, Katherine Jones, Quentin Jones, Elizabeth Jones & McKenna Thornsbury. 1 sister, Jewell Steed of Johnson City NY, 1 brother, William (Billy) Jeffries of Horse Cave and also by neices, nephews and cousins.

Visitation

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. until funeral time on Wednesday.

Funeral Service

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
