Margaret Seymour Davis

August 17, 1926 — October 9, 2013

Margaret Seymour Davis age 87 of Horse Cave passed away Wednesday October 9, 2013 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a native of Hart County and a member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church and a former employee of the Hart County Circuit Court Clerk and was well known for her work at the Election Polls and a Notary Public. Mrs. Davis recognized the importance of communication access for deaf individuals  and became involved with the deaf community serving as a bridge between  deaf and hearing people. She was a loving mother who blended two families together and was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Seymour and Lena Seymour, a son, Robert Clyde Davis and by her husband Ernest Davis.

She is survived by three children, Vicki Lawler & her husband Sammy of Munfordville , Richard McCalvin & his wife Pam of Greensburg, Indiana, & Mary Belle Davis Washko & her husband Charles of Spartanburg , South Carolina. Two step-sons, E. Lee Davis & his wife Mary of Cave City and Greg Davis & his wife Lisa of Cave City. One sister, Ruth Asbury & her husband James of Horse Cave. 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 12, 2013 in the Chapel of
Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visiation at Winn Funeral Home from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday.
