Maida Louise Barnes

January 15, 1940 — December 13, 2013

Maida Louise Barnes age 73 of Horse Cave passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave.

Maida was a Hart County native, retired from Houchens Industry, a former employee of General Electric and loved her children, grandchildren and her dogs.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lovie Smith and a sister, Doris Roberts.

Survivors inlclude four children, Tony Lawless (Kathy) of Park City, Angela Williamson (Tommy) of Horse Cave, Kenneth Schneider (Deborah) of Munfordville and Barbara Humphrey (Don) of Canmer.  Ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Buddy Smith (Gloria) of Louisville, Kelly Smith of Las Vegas, NV., sister, Fran Bishop (G.E.) of Louisville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday   in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.
