MaeDell Marie Atwell

MaeDell Marie Hensley Atwell age 90 of Hardyville passed away at 8:15 p.m. Monday February 21,2011 at the Hart County Health Care Center.

She was born on April 4, 1920 in Hart County, She Retired after 28 years as Lunchroom Supervisor for Memorial School. She was a Member of the Monroe Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah L. Hensley and Hettie Conyers Hensley , Her husband Harold L. Atwell in March of 2007 , Two Brothers, Floyd Hensley, Sr. and Ray Hensley and by Four Sisters, Dana Forbis, Freda Wade, Ruth Slaughter and Lucille Trent.

Survived by

She is survived by one son, Keith Atwell & his wife Nancy of Hardyville, One Daughter, Karlotta Atwell of Hardyville. Seven Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren.

One Brother, Everett Hensley of Monroe, Two Sisters, Alice Perkins of Cecila and Dixie Norman of Horse Cave.Several Nieces and Nephews and a Host of Friends survive.


Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. until funeral time on Thursday.

Funeral Service

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Karlotta sorry to hear about your Mother. I know this is a
sad time for you, but time will help. Remember all the good
