Louise Atwell

April 15, 1919 — December 18, 2015

Mary Louise Wilcoxson Atwell, 96, of Park, Ky., passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Signature Health Care (formerly Hart County Health Care) in Horse Cave.

Until her death, she was the oldest member of Park United Methodist Church. She lived her life as a caregiver to many people and continued to help many patients at the nursing home after she moved there.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Sherman Wilcoxson and Elizabeth Johnston Wilcoxson;  her husband, Elzie Atwell, in 1963; her son, David Atwell, who passed away exactly two weeks to the day of her passing; and a brother, James Wilcoxson.

Survivors include her son, Danny Atwell and wife, Patricia (Pat), of LeGrande; two granddaughters, Marcie Atwell, of Horse Cave and Danyel Atwell Morrison and husband, Todd, of Hiseville; two great-granddaughters, Hannah E. Morrison and Emma Grace Morrison, of Hiseville; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 1PM, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Houk Cemetery, Metcalfe County.

Visitation At Winn Funeral Home will be from 3-9PM, Sunday, and after 9AM until service time on Monday.
