Linda Melloan

Linda Melloan, age 78, of Horse Cave, Ky passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 in Bowling Green. She was a native of Hart County and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the Woman's Missionary Union. She loved singing in the church choir and loved to cook and bake. She worked at Hiseville Elementary School for over 20 years as a teachers assistant where she touched the lives of many children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Walker and Zelma Hunt; her first husband, Leslie Richard "Dickie" Cox; her son, David Lynn Cox; her daughter-in-law, Linda Cox; an infant sister, Brenda Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Melloan; two daughters, Sherry Meador (Lynn) and Crystal Michelle Peterie (Brett); seven grandchildren, Eric, Adam, and Joshua Meador, Stephanie Brady, Travis Cox, Tessa Medley, and Hannah Peterie; 12 great-grandchildren; two step-children, Ricky Melloan (Donna) and Cheryl Carr (Brown); four step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy and Danny Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with burial to follow in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
