Linda Locke Kinslow, age 80 of Hardyville passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Signature Health Care in Horse Cave. Linda was born February 7, 1941, at home to the late Poley and Dixie Handy. She graduated from Memorial School in 1958. Linda spent 34 years working at PBI Bank and retired in 2001. Linda was a member of Hopewell Church in Canmer. She enjoyed her family, cooking, working in her flowers and making people happy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Poley and Dixie Handy; a grandson, Billy Essler.
She was survived by her son, Barry Locke and wife Shirley of Hardyville; one daughter, Tammi Essler and husband Scott of Bowling Green; two sisters, Judy Nall of Glasgow and Donna Smith (Billy) of Horse Cave; she was known as Nanny to her six grandchildren, Brandi Locke, of Louisville, Daniel Locke (Taylor) of Nashville, Stephen Locke (Kristina) of Bowling Green, Bobby Essler (Emily) of Bowling Green, Kelly Robertson (Joel) of Bowling Green, and David Essler of Bowling Green; she was a great-grandmother to Liam Essler, Sophia Locke and Clay Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 -8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
