Leo Adwell

Leo Adwell, age 92, of Horse Cave, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was a native of Hart County , a World War II Veteran and owner and operator of Adwell's Marathon and Grocery.

He was preceded  in death by his parents, Dell Adwell and Lillie Meredith Adwell, two brothers, Garland Adwell and his wife Marlene, Roger Adwell and his wife Jean, three sisters, MaeVonnie Chapman and her husband, Louis, Alvene Coates and Edith Adwell Chapman and her husband Paul.  brother-in-law, J. V. Martin ; father and mother-in- law , Curt and Bertha Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Marie Wilson Adwell , one daughter, Vickie Lynn Isenberg of Cave City, one sister, Norma Jean Martin of Horse Cave. Also several nieces and nephews survive.

Leo was a member of Basil Chapel United Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 9, 2016 .

Burial with full military honors conducted by D. A. V. Chapter # 20 will be held at the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery following the funeral service.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home will be held from 12 noon until 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until 12:30 on Saturday at the funeral home.

We are so saddened by the loss of this loved one.  I (Brenda) have worked with Vickie for many years and count it a privilege to call her my good friend. Just know we are thinking of you all and praying that God brings you peace.
