Lavon Lile

Lavon Lile, age 85, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021. Lavon was born March 10, 1936 to the late Jim and Geneva Young Lile

Lavon was a lifelong farmer in the Center-Three Springs community of Metcalfe County and was a member of Allen Grove Baptist Church. He was well known throughout the years for performing and writing country western music.

He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Clara May and special uncle, Damon.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Glyna Maye Fancher Lile; Sons Marty (Andrea) and Benny (Chris) ; four grandchildren, Tailor, Madison, Cameron, and Casey; one great Grandson Clayton.

In lieu of flowers, Lavon requested memorials be made to Wounded Warriors Project and/or North Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 and from 11 a.m. until time of service Sunday.
