I had written quite a long post about Mildred (she was always Mildred to me) and I was almost finished when my phone dumped the sight. I think it was trying to tell me to not write so much but even if I wrote a book I could never say enough good about Mildred. We were very close when our kids were growing up. We had some great times together. She was kind and loving to everyone she knew. She was one of those people that you didnt ask what she thought about something unless you really wanted to know. She could be very blunt, not hateful, just to the point but she was also a loving, tender hearted person. I loved her dearly. We hadnt seen each other in years, but we still occasionally kept in touch via post. I did not know she had passed until today when a friend told me. I know losing such a wonderful person, as she was, has devastated her family, I know it was a total shock to me. Even though I hadnt seen her for so long, Im still going to miss her. She was beautiful, honest, loving, kind and much more. To Cheryl and Mike, I am so sorry to know you lost her. Ive never known any of your children or grand children but I know they will miss her greatly. I loved your mom and I loved you kids. You were a bit of a hand full (like all kids) when I knew you well and Im sure you are both extraordinary adults. Please accept my prayers and sympathy. She was a wonderful Lady.

So sorry to hear about this. Mrs Highbaugh was such a good friend to my mama, Joyce Pennington, she loved her so much. Prayers for you all.
