Kenneth Joe Gentry, born November 15, 1943, in Hart County, Kentucky, died Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home. He was the son of the late Burton W. and Cleota Carter Gentry. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandra K. England in June, 1961. He was a lifelong member of Monroe Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an ordained elder since 1977. He was a former John Deere equipment dealer, real estate broker and auctioneer, and a used car dealer. His passion was, by far, his love for farming. Kenneth was a graduate of Spencerian College and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra England Gentry; two sons, Mark Gentry (Margie) of Hardyville and Michael Gentry (Marsha) of Cave City; four grandchildren, Matthew Gentry, Maegan Trent (Ken), Emily Houchens (Brent), and Andrew Gentry; two great-grandchildren, Kayden Gentry and Sophia Trent; one brother, William Keith Gentry (Doris) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Winn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
