Joyce Ellar Toney

Joyce Toney, 76 of Cave City, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at her home. She was a native of Barren County and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers, reading, cooking, and most of all her grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Susie Simmons Renick. One brother and four sisters.

She is survived by her three children, Jerri Toney of Glasgow; James Toney and his wife, Paula, of Bowling Green; and Carmela Thomasson and her husband, Dan, of Haywood. Nine grandchildren, Amanda Laird, Joshua Poole, Joice Wells, Justin Wells, Matt Brewster, Sarah Wrather, Jake Wells, Cody Brewster, and Zackary Toney. 10 great-grandchildren, Caitlan Laird, Leah Poole, Bailey Poole, Natalie Wells, Calee Wells, Tucker Brewster, Aiden Wells, Daniel Wells, Rose Wells, and Trenton Brewster. One brother, Malcolm Renick. Two sisters, Frances Dennison and Emogene Wright.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cave City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home, from 3 - 9 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 and again on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
