Josephine Richardson

Josephine Richardson, age 83, of Hardyville, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was a native of Hart County and a member of Hardyville Union Church. She and her husband, Gerald Richardson, were owners of Richardson Implement Company. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Richardson; her parents, Jimmy and Vivian Lisenby; one brother, James David Lisenby.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Richardson; two daughters, Sonya Carter (Greg) and Tonda Greenwood (Mark); six grandchildren, Nathan Greenwood (Kathryn), Jennifer Huffines (Taylor), Whitney King (Bradley), Noah Carter, Jonah Carter (Maddie), and Luke Carter; seven great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Amelia, and Henry Huffines, Lilly and Annie Greenwood, James and Vivian King.

Funeral servivces will be held at Winn Funeral Home at 2 PM on Sunday, May 7, 2023 with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home from 4-8 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023 and from 10 AM until time of service on Sunday.
