Joel Thomas Greer
Joel T. Greer, 78, of Edmonton, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Metcalfe County Health Care Facility.
He was a native of Hart County and a former automobile mechanic at Metcalfe Motors Ford Dealership in Edmonton, a former veteran of the U.S. Army and United States Marine Corp, and a member of Fairview Church of Christ.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Malcom Frank and Ruby Kidd Greer, a son William Allen Greer and two brothers, an infant Frank Greer, and Buford Greer, three sisters, Mary Alice, Betty Elaine, and Darnell.
He is survived by three children Norman, Melissa, and Teresa; one brother, Wilburn Greer of Largo, Florida; one sister Jeanette Herndon of Cynthiana, Ky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 12 noon in the chapel of Winn Funeral home with Bro. Craig Waddell officiating. Burial will follow in Houk Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and continue Thursday morning from 9am until time of service at Winn Funeral Home.
