I met Joe at Signature Health Care while visiting my wife, Elizabeth. I enjoyed talking to Joe while there. When getting Elizabeth a cup of coffee, I also got one for Joe. He would say "Thank you, you are as handy as a pocket on a shirt". Once when he didn't want his lunch a staff member offered him a bite. Joe said "What is that?". The staff member said it is a brownie. Joe said "I don't care if it's a whitie". Another time Joe dropped food from his fork. I said Joe you dropped something from your fork. Joe said "I'm saving that for dinner". I miss seeing Joe. Ron Thomas

I am so sorry for the family's loss. Joe was always kind to me (the young kid who was new at K.U.in 1974)and he was a good co-worker while K.U. was in Horse Cave. Again, sorry to hear this.
