Joan Edge Sexton

Joan Edge Sexton, age 75, of Cave City passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Medical Center at Caverna. She was a member of Cave City Baptist Church. She loved to read and listen to music. She was a mom to many. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Donnie Sexton; one daughter, Tonya Sexton; one grandson, David Councill; her parents, Edward Clyde and Fairry Edge; one brother, Clyde Edward "Sonny" Edge' two brothers-in-law, Bobby Sexton and Melvin Locke.

She is survived by two daughters, Leslie Sexton and Sonya Crain(Tony); two sons, Rusty Sexton (Wendy) and Robby Sexton (Heather), both of Louisville; 10 grandchildren, Daniel Crain (Jordan), Jacob Crain (Kalei), Sarah Fox (Trent), Leah Crain, Mara Sexton, Jonah Sexton, Ezra Sexton, Jude Sexton, Luca Sexton, and Rory Sexton; four great-grandchildren, Trayce Crain, Brayden Crain, Nolan Fox, and Bennett Crain; one brother, Ed Edge (Marilyn); three sisters-in-law, Lanelle Sexton, Betty Locke, and Gail Miller (Charlie); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 1 PM with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 2-7 PM and from 9 AM until time of service on Wednesday.
