Jean Washam Pierce, age 86, of Horse Cave passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at U of L Hospital in Louisville. She was the former manager of Village Corner Dress Shop, and former bookkeeper and co-owner of Pierce Garage in Horse Cave. She loved raising cattle and cooking for her family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oakley & Nina Washam, and two sisters, Juanita Lawson & Geneva Judd.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Glendon Pierce, of Horse Cave, one daughter, Glenda Troxall and husband, Keith, of Glasgow, two grandsons, J. D. Minor of Nashville, and Chris Minor of Bowling Green, two great-grandsons, Chase Watson of Glasgow and London Minor of Bowling Green, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015, at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4- 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8-11 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
