Jaynette Fancher Taylor Owens, age 82, of Horse Cave, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, March 22, 2023 at Glenview Nursing and Rehab. She was born as a twin on February 13th, 1941 to the late James Edward Damon Fancher and Birdie Mae Smith Fancher. Jaynette farmed right beside her husband of 41 years, the late Henry Clyde Taylor and later became his caregiver in 1995 until his death in 1996. For the next five years she became a full time caregiver for a host of people and then became the wife of Charles (Buck) Owens for the next 16 years until his death in 2016. She is a member of Coral Hill Baptist Church.
Jaynette raised a family in the hardest of times and also helped take care of her younger brothers and sisters. She was not only a mother to her own, but also a mother and grandmother to many, taking in anyone that needed a place to stay or needed help. She also worked several years at the Pants Factory in Horse Cave. Jaynette was one of the hardest working women you would ever meet. She loved her family, growing flowers, playing cards, cooking, gardening, fishing and had such a heart for her animals.
She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sisters, Louise Poynter and buddy, Janet Stovall (twin) & Leamon

She is survived by two sons, Marris Taylor (Anna) of Three Springs, 1 SG James Lindel Taylor of Seymour; two daughters, Joyce Deckard (Tony) Mary Harvey (Kenny), of Glasgow; ten grandchildren, Marris Taylor, Jason Taylor, April (Brian) Hagan, Kim (Randy) Leek, Kelly Taylor, Josh (Brandy) Taylor, Simon (Delaney) Taylor, Christy Tice, Nikki (Richie) Jolly, Luke (Danielle) Deckard; twenty one great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; two brothers, Carlos (Beverly) Fancher and Damon Fancher; three sisters, Susan (Arnold) Cross, Jenny McKinney, Rosie (Larry) Davenport; brother in law, William Taylor; sister in laws, Nellie Taylor and Judy Fancher Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Winn Funeral Home from 4:30 - 8 PM and from 9 AM until time of service on Sunday.
