James B. " Jimmy" Karnes

November 14, 1933 — December 8, 2013

James B. "Jimmy" Karnes, 80, of Cave City, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the home of his son.

The Hart County native was a lifelong farmer and a member of Joyner's Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.V. and Ida Lee James Karnes; a son, Ricky Karnes; a sister, Kathleen Jewell and by two brothers, Leo and Louis Karnes.

Survivors include: Two sons, Donald "Danny" Karnes and his wife, Betty, of Cave City, Kenneth "Cornbread" Karnes and wife Sharon, of Hardyville, his daughter, Teresa Hunt, of Cave City, eleven grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home at 11AM, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 with burial to follow in Cosby Cemetery.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home will be on Tuesday from 11AM - 9PM and after 8AM, Wednesday until service time.
