James Bishop

James Bishop, age 78, of Cave City, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and Navy. He was of the Catholic Faith. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Regena Joan Bishop; his parents, Virgil Irvin Bishop and Mary Leona Bishop; multiple brothers and sisters.

He is survived by two sons, James Bishop Jr. and Kevin L. Bishop, both of Cave City; eight grandchildren, Sara (Corey), Kyle, Casey (Josh), Justin, James, Kimberly (Christian), Conner, Taylor; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Jo Enteman.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Winn Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 12:30 PM CST in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of service on Monday, January 23.
