I knew Hailu as a talented artist. Always smiling and ready with a hug. We collaborated on some jewelry using my glass beads and his silver work. These will be treasured. I will miss him.

Hailu was an amazing person. Always welcoming with the most beautiful and heartfelt smile. Ill always remember, when we lived near each other, he would get off work and bring me the most wonderful desserts and we would sit, eat, talk, and laugh. I was heartbroken to hear of his illness and passing. I wish I had known so I could have spent more time enjoying the beauty of his spirit. You will be missed Hailu.
