Gracie Sidebottom Coffey age 80 of Cave City passed away Monday September 7, 2015 at Caverna Memorial Hospital. She was a Hart County Native and a Member of the Cave City Baptist Church . She began her life as a Homemaker and Farmer and later as a Waitress at the Old Jerry's Restaurant in Glasgow. She was the Founder and Owner of Gracie's Trading Post and the Farmhouse Restaurant, a well know establishment in Cave City. Gracie was a very talented lady in many fields which included her legacy of Homemade Pies, her beautiful handmade quilts and wonderful crocheting , she found time in her busy life to enjoy gardening, fishing and traveling and loved her family and friends with a passion.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Alva T. Coffey in December of 1998, three brothers also preceded her in death.
Gracie is survived by Three Daughters, Judy Coffey Grimes and her husband Roddy of Bowling Green, Alvada Coffey Holder of Cave City and by Anna Coffey Lee and her husband Jim of Cave City. Seven Grandchildren, Roddy Lee Grimes, Leann Grimes and Kimberlee Grimes, Christy McKinney, Alyssa Megan Holder, Bryan and Candace Lee. Twelve Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild. One Sister-In-Law , Dorothy Coffey and by Two Nephews, Roger and Ronnie Coffey.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 11, 2015 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow the service in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
