Gloria D. Russell

July 2, 1931 — January 6, 2015

Gloria D. Russell, age 83, of Cave City, passed away January 6, 2015 at Caverna Memorial Hospital.  She was a native of Hart County, a homemaker and a member of the Three Springs Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and loved spending time with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentice McKinney and Lorena Mae Crenshaw McKinney, her husband, Verlon Russell, a son, Ricky Russell, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Lane, Oakwood, IL, and Linda Asbury and husband, Ricky, of Three Springs, three sons, Ronnie Russell and wife, Gearldean, Greensburg, Randy Russell and wife, Shellye, Horse Cave, and Roger Russell, Cave City, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Valda Bayer of Louisville, one brother, Robert McKinney and wife, Doris, Richmond, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Winn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery.  Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4:30-9 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to time of service on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
