Geneva Poynter Davis

Geneva Poynter Davis, 86, of Cave City, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.

She was a Metcalfe County native, a devout Christian and member of the Cave City Baptist Church, an active member of the Cave City Younger Womens Club, a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a caring friend to many. She was the former co-owner and bookkeeper for Davis Auto Parts in Cave City and her favorite pastime was working crossword puzzles.

Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, James E. Poynter and Elizabeth M. Robertson Poynter; her husband, Paul M. Davis; a daughter, Jennifer Davis-Young; a son-in-law, Johnny Chapman and a sister, MaeDell Poynter Pope.

2-Daughters: Paula Jackson and husband, Tim of Prospect, Ky.

Amy Chapman of Cave City

Son-In-Law: Mike Young of Findley, Oh.

8-Grandchildren: Paul Jackson and wife Leslie of Anchorage, Ky., Kristie Jackson Lindemier and husband, Trever of Crestwood, Ky., Shannon Jackson Lampton and husband, Richie of Prospect, Ky., Carie Chapman Lewis and husband, Matt of Cincinniti, Oh., Jeremy Chapman of San Antonio, Tx., Erin Davis Dobbs and husband, Nathan of Wichita, Ks., Shelley Davis Lowe and husband, Bill of Bowling Green, Ky. and Andrew Davis and wife, Ashley of Hartford, Ky.

Winn Funeral Home Chapel: 11 AM (CDT) Monday, September 23, 2013 with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery.
