Gary L. Dennison, age 71 of Horse Cave passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a native of Hart county and a life long farmer. Gary Loved his wife of 52 years and the two of them enjoyed traveling with their family and friends to various tractor shows, tractor drives and pulls. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and new great-granddaughter.He enjoyed being a husband, dad and a pap. Farming was his passion, of which he was a tobacco farmer until 2019, when he focused on raising hay and cattle. He loved telling stories and sharing family history. In recent years he enjoyed his new found friends in the Amish community and enjoyed driving them around and telling them the history of Hart County. He and his friends, “The Instigators”, decided to start a tractor drive in Hart County; and not any type of drive, but one with a purpose that helped others. That is when “Drive For A Cure” was formed in 2004. He and his family and friends enjoyed raising money for the American Cancer Society, but more importantly, he enjoyed time together and helping family, friends, and neighbors. Gary had a giving heart and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. If there was anything to remember him by, it was his sense of humor. He was a friend to all that met him.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eva Dennison; his son, Lee Dennison and his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Theresa Dennison Groce and her husband, David; five grandchildren, Zach Groce and his wife MiKayla , Jacob Dennison, Thomas Dennison, Addie Groce and Levi Groce; one great-granddaughter, Acrey Groce; one brother, Paul Dennison and his wife, Kathy.
