Ford Smith

June 12, 1916 — September 14, 2014

A. Ford Smith, 98, of Uno, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was a Hart County native, a longtime and faithful member of  Horse Cave Church of Christ, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a merchant and former owner of Smith's Country Store at Uno, a partner in Guntown Mountain and a former board member of Horse Cave State Bank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.W. Smith and Ruie Ford Smith; his wife, Edith Mae Smith; his daughter, Pam Smith and his brother, Earle Smith.

Survivors include his caregiver, Geneane McGuire, of Glasgow and several other friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 2PM in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home will be on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 5PM-8PM and after 9AM Tuesday, until service time.
