Elmer Norris

Elmer Norris, 83, of Center, Ky., passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at his home with his loving family around him.

He was a Barren County native, was saved by the Grace of God at home at an early age and was a longtime member of Rock Spring Baptist Church, a retired mechanic and auto body repairman and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorinda Bailey Norris; 6 brothers, David, Depp, Delmer, Wendell, Eugene and Herbert Norris; a grandchild, Alex Bass.

2 Daughters: LaVetta Jessie and husband, Roy, Center

Sonya Bass and husband, Jeff, Glasgow

3 Grandchildren: Leticia Poteet and husband, Larry; Felicia Stinson and Devin Bass.

2 Step-Great-Grandchildren: Brittany and Shelby Poteet

2 Sisters: Earline Holman, Glasgow
